Song, Soprano |
Soprano
Hyunju Song was the winner of the German Lieder Society Competition
and she made her professional debut from the Young Singers Debut Concert,
which was sponsored by the National Music Association of Teachers in
Korea. She sang the title role in ¡° Hansel und Gretel¡± at the National
Theater of Korea . She sang for 2002 ¡°9-11 Remembrance Ceremony¡± in New Jersey, and was often featured as a soloist in oratorio, such as Schubert¡¯s C Major Mass, Bach¡¯s Magnificat and Mozart¡¯s C minor Mass with Stony Brook Orchestra. Additionally, she sang Mozart¡¯s Requiem for ¡°Mozart Anniversary 2006¡±. She was one of the recipients of the 2003- 2005 New Triad Foundation for the collaborative arts fellowship awards, for which she was awarded to perform several concerts in New York. In 2006, she won First prize, George Shield Award, from William Garrison Festival and Competition, also she received Best Interpretation Award from Baltimore Washington chapter of the American Liszt Society. Widely praised for her vocal talents and refined musicianship, Marylis Sevilla-Gonzaga from Opera News described her as an exceptionally lovely voice, ¡®exquisitely touching¡¯. She holds a master¡¯s degree and a professional diploma from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Hilda Harris under the scholarship. Currently she is pursuing her doctorate degree at Stony Brook University. |

Pianist
Kyung-A Yoo is a versatile collaborative pianist in the New York metropolitan
area. Her current projects include performances as a collaborative pianist
at New Triad for Collaborative Arts, Joy in Singing, New York Composers
Circle, Stonewall Chorale and Melodia Women? Choir. A strong supporter
of new music, she has premiered numerous works for piano and varied
chamber music ensembles including Requiem for the Living by Elliot Levine
(2006) and ?eme con los ojos by Allison Sniffin (2006). Recently Ms.
Yoo has appeared at United Nations, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall,
and Merkin Concert Hall. Ms. Yoo has served as a staff accompanist at
Summit Music Festival and Quartet Program. During the 2006-07 Summer,
Ms. Yoo was invited to Music Academy of the West at Santa Barbara as
a full-scholarship pianist. Currently Ms. Yoo is working as a staff
accompanist and vocal coach at Manhattan School of Music where she is
completing her doctoral degree as a scholarship recipient. |

for his deep musicality and virtuosity, Chin Kim, Top prizewinner in several of the most prestigious international violin competitions including the Concours International Musique de Montreal, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Paganini Competition, and the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, Mr. Kim, one of the most sought-after of violinists today, has been concertizing extensively throughout North America, Asia, and Europe as soloist with orchestras as those of Philadelphia, St. Louis, Montreal, Czech Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony, and with all major orchestras in Korea. As a recitalist, Mr. Kim appeared in major halls of New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Brussels, and Seoul. Mr. Kim is exclusively managed by Maxim Gershunoff Artists. |

Oei, Piano |
David Oei was a soloist with the Hong Kong Philharmonic
at the age of nine and has since performed with major orchestras including
the New York Philharmonic, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore Symphonies. Mr.
Oei is the winner of five Interlochen Concerto Competitions and the
WQXR, Concert Artists Guild, Young Musicians Foundation and Paul Ulanowsky
Chamber Pianist Awards. He has made guest appearances with the Audubon
Quartet, Claring Chamber Players, Da Capo Chamber Players, St. Luke's
and Orpheus Chamber Ensembles and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln
Center.
Mr. Oei lives in New York City with his wife, violinist Eriko Sato, and their pit bull mix, Jazz. |
