Lucio Kyuhee
Cho

bass-baritone

korean bass-baritone living in Vienna, Austria, has won many prizes in international competitions such as the 1st prize at the 2003 International Schubert Lied Competition in Osaka, Japan, the 1st prize at the 2002 C.A. Seghizzi in Gorizia, Italy, the Dalton Baldwin Special Award at the 2001 Francisco Vinas in Barcelona, Spain, the 2001 East West Artists ' International Audition for a New York Debut, the 3rd prize at the 2000Robert Schumann Competion in Zwickau, Germany, and the 2nd prize at the 1999 Maria Callas Grand Priz in Athens, Greece.

Mr. Cho has given art song recitals at numerous prestigious concert series, including the Neu Hoffen Festival Leider Abend, Heinrich Heine Lieder Abend, Organ and Bartione Cocert. He has performed in Vienna, Salzburg, Bad Voslau, Austria; Geneva, Switzerland; Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Germany; Bratislava, Slovakia; Anneey, Divonne, Villecroze, France; Bruneck, Italy; Breslau, Poland and Weill Hall at Carnegie. He has appeared as a soloist in the Brahms Requiem, Bach St. Mathew ' s Passion, Bruckner B minor Mass, Otto Nicolai ' s Mass and Puccini Messe di Gloria. Mr. Cho has performed Mr. Cho ' s first CD of La Serenata Interrotta and Prologue to Battaglie Perdute by Anthony Louis Scarmolin was feleased by Centaur Records in 2004.

He Studied lied and oratorio with Kurt Equiluz, opera with Builter Marel at Vienna University, and lied interpretation with David Lutz at the Vienna Conservatory

Patrick Jee
cello

Cellist Patrick Jee is hailed as a "gifted virtuoso" with "...lustrous suavity and a satin-smooth bowing and singing line" (Harris Goldsmith/New York Concert Review) . He has garnered top prizes in many competitions including the Andre Navarra Cello Competition, the Holland-America Music Society Cello Competition and the Irving Klein International String Competition.

As a soloist, Mr. Jee's performances include the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Rochester Philharmonic, the Chamber Orchestra of Toulouse, the National Orchestra of Toulouse and the Orchestra de Chambre Regional D'Ile-de-France. His recital and chamber music engagements have taken him across the country to venues such as the Banff Centre for the Arts, Carnegie Hall, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and La Jolla's Summerfest. He has also participated in the Caramoor Music Festival's "Virtuosi" and "Rising Stars" series where he collaborated with Leon Fleisher, and Ani and Ida Kavafian.

Mr. Jee has worked with members of the Emerson, Orion, Tokyo, and Vermeer Quartets along with other distinguished artists such as Emanuel Ax, Claude Frank, Lynn Harrell, David Shifrin, Janos Starker, and Isaac Stern. He can be heard on the Albany Records label premiering a work by Ezra Laderman and has had radio broadcasts over WFMT Chicago and WXXI Rochester.

In May of 1999, Mr. Jee received his Masters of Music degree from the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of Aldo Parisot with whom he continues to study at the Juilliard Schoo

Warren Jones
piano

Warren Jones frequently performs with many of today's best-known artists, including Barbara Bonney, Ruth Ann Swenson, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Denyce Graves, Stephanie Blythe, Hakan Hagegard, Samuel Ramey, James Morris, John Relyea, and Joseph Alessi. In the past he has partnered such great singers as Marilyn Horne, Kathleen Battle, Carol Vaness, Tatiana Troyanos and Martti Talvela. Mr. Jones has been featured in an interview with Eugenia Zukerman on CBS Sunday Morning . He has often been a guest artist at Carnegie Hall and in Lincoln Center 's Great Performers Series, as well as the festivals of Tanglewood, Ravinia, and Caramoor. His international travels have taken him to recitals throughout Europe and the Far East . Mr. Jones has been invited three times to the White House by American presidents to perform at concerts honoring the President of Russia , and Prime Ministers of Italy and Canada . As a guest at the Library of Congress, Mr. Jones has appeared with the Juilliard Quartet. He was featured in the United Nations memorial concert and tribute to Ms. Audrey Hepburn, telecast worldwide. Recent seasons have included his debut with the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall, performances with the Brentano Quartet, and an invitation to teach a master class at The Juilliard School under the auspices of the Marilyn Horne Foundation. Mr. Jones has recordings on BMG/RCA Red Seal, the Samsung Classics label, NPR Classics, EMI and Sony Classical. Mr. Jones is on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music in New York City . Each summer he teaches and performs at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara , California . Warren Jones grew up in North Carolina and graduated with honors from the New England Conservatory of Music?where he was recently honored with the Conservatory's Outstanding Alumni Award. Judy Kang
violin

Since gaining attention at the age of ten, in her critically acclaimed performance with the National Arts Center Orchestra, young, gifted violinist, Judy Kang is a rising star in the music world, today. She has performed with all the major orchestras and ensembles in Canada and abroad including the Toronto Symphony, Vancouver Symphony, Sinfonia Toronto L'Orchestre Metropolitain, Quebec Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Puchon Philharmonic, and the Euro-Asian Philharmonic, among others. Since her first solo recital at age four, she has appeared throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. She made her debut in Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall to critical acclaim. An avid chamber musician, she was invited to festivals as Marlboro, Ravinia, Pablo Casals, Manchester, Banff, Evian, the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival, the 'Focus' Festival in New York, and has performed and given masterclasses in Barbados and Canada. Ms Kang has collaborated with esteemed artists as Claude Frank, Kyung Wha Chung, Miriam Fried, Leon Fleisher, and the late Felix Galimir, and with members of the Mendelssohn, Guarneri, and Juilliard String Quartet, among others. She has also worked with renowned composers Leon Kirchner, Alexander Goehr, Richard Danielpour, and Pierre Boulez. Ms Kang had the honor of performing for the Canadian Prime Minister and Governor General. As a member of the renowned ensemble, Sejong, she has toured as leader and soloist across America, the UK, and Asia. She has garnered numerous awards and honors including top prizes at major competitions such as the CBC National Competition, the Dong-A International Competition, Naumburg International Competition, and the Kreisler International Violin Competition. At the age of eleven, she was accepted on full scholarship to the Curtis Institute of Music and received a Bachelors Degree when she was seventeen, one of the youngest graduates in its history. She received her Masters from Juilliard and became the first graduate of the eminent Artist Diploma at the Manhattan School of Music. She has been featured in numerous newspapers, television and magazines. Ms Kang has recorded two solo CDs which received wide acclaim and have been nominated for awards. She is frequently heard on national and international radio. In recognition of her outstanding achievements and contribution to the arts, Ms Kang will be featured as an accomplished artist and inspiration in a book entitled Korea and Canada: A Shared History.

Richard O'Neill
viola

Richard O'Neill is quickly rising to international prominence as one of the finest violists
of his generation. With frequent performances throughout North America , Europe , and Asia , he has appeared as a soloist with the Los Angeles and Eurasian Philharmonics, and has an exclusive solo recording contract with Universal Music. His first album release for Universal, with pianist Warren Jones, was the top selling classical music album in Korea . Mr. O'Neill has collaborated with members of the Juilliard, Guarneri, Mendelssohn and Orion String Quartets, Ensemble Wien-Berlin, Gil Shaham, Cho-Liang Lin, Joshua Bell, Gary Hoffmann, Edgar Meyer and Steven Isserlis, among others. He has toured with the Chamber Music Society as well as with Musicians from Marlboro. He is also a member of the International Sejong Soloists, a string ensemble without conductor. A Universal Music Artist, he has recorded for Naxos , Centaur, and Tzadik. The first and only violist to receive the prestigious Artist Diploma at Juilliard, he has studied with Paul Neubauer and Donald McInnes. Mr. O'Neill performs on a viola made by Gasparo da Salo, Brescia Italy , circa 1590, most generously loaned to him by the Samsung Foundation of Culture.

Hae-Ri-Na Park
Kayageum

Hae-Ri-Na Park is currently a student at the Steinhardt Graduate School of Education at New York University . Ms. Park received her B.A degree from Chung-Ang University in Seoul , Korea (2004). Her many honors and awards include 2 nd Prize, Instrumental Music, 17 th Annual Korean Student Jeonju Daesasup Nori Instrumental Music Contest, organized by the Munhwa Broadcast Company (MBC), Korea (1999). Recent performances include a fusion jazz and contemporary Korean music concert at the Korean Cultural Service, in honor of the Lunar New Year (February 2005). Other appearances include a concert with The Ansan Traditional Korean Orchestra, playing a Korean work Sonamu (Pine Tree) on a 25-string Kayageum (2003). She was an honorary performer with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, organized by The Korea Daily News (2003). Ms. Park has extensive performing experience with the Kayageum and Korean Traditional Music.

Heasook Rhee
piano

Korean-American pianist has performed with many distinguished artists of our time, including tenor Nikolai Gedda, bass-baritone Simon Estes, soprano Youngok Shin, baritone Hans Choi, violionists Ivry Gitlis. Ilya Grubert, Peter Zazofsky, cellists Jian Wang, Charles Curtis, Tilmann Wick, Marcio Carneiro, flutist Julius Baker.

Past engagements has included tours in Germany (the Berliner Festwoehen, Schauspielhaus in Berlin Alte Oper in Frankfurt , Beethovenhaus in Bonn ), Britain (St. John ' s Smith Square in London), France (Salle Gaveau in Paris), Italy, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland (Tonhalle in Zurich), Canada, Mexico, the US (Carnegie Stern Auditorium, Weill Hall at Carnegie in New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, Texas, Mid-West), Central America, New Zealand, Australia, North Africa, Hong Kong and Korea. Her concerts have been broadcast on NDR, SDR, BR, SR, and SWF ( Germany ), DRS ( Zurich ), WGBH, WNYC, and WGTS ( Washington , DC ). Ms. Rhee ' s CD, ¡® Cello Sonatas of 1948 ' was released on the German label MD-G.

A graduate of Seoul National University , she studied with Jacob Lateiner, Rosina Lhevinne, Howard Aibel and Samuel Sanders at the Julliard School and with Eugene Bossart at the University of Michigan . She is a faculty member at the Manhattan School of Music, teaching accompanying and chamber music. She has given master classes in France , Germany , Austria , Japan , China .

Rami Seo
kayageum

Rami Seo is a professional Kayageum player who has performed throughout the United States , Japan , China and Korea , with many of the renowned orchestras and chamber ensembles. Having been recognized for her remarkable musical aptitude, she received full scholarships to elite secondary vocational schools?The National Music School and the Seoul High School of Korean Traditional Arts. Subsequently, she graduated with highest honors from the College of Music , Chung Arts University .

Throughout her studies, Ms. Seo has mastered different types of San Jo, including Seong, Keum Yun, Kim, Juk Pa , Choi, Ok Sam and Yoo, Dae Bong. She has received numerous awards and competitions, including the National Competition of Korean Music and the Mokpo KBS Competition for Traditional Music. In addition to her training in Kayageum, she learned pansori "Soo oong Ga" from Nam , Hae Sung and Korean folk dance. Ms.

Seo also spent time in China where she furthered her studies in Eastern Asian Music and learned to play Chinese Yang Geum. She participated in performances as par of "The Silk Road Project"?produced and directed by Yo-Yo Ma. As a soloist, she has made appearances in Korean Traditional Music Festivals and in North America , at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and at Merkin Concert Hall, where she introduced the North Korean Kayageum to American audiences.

Her youthful and experimental spirit led her to perform in a fusion concert with a jazz quartet and an "Improvisation Oriented" concert in New York . Ms. Seo was invited to record a crossover CD with alto saxophonist Fred Ho. Other solo and chamber music CDs include "The First Morning" and "The Faller Leaves."
