Jayoung Yoon

Jayoung Yoon has recently completed a string of successful debuts and performances. In April of 2003, Ms. Yoon made her New York City debut singing the role of Pamina in The Magic Flute with the Lyric Opera of New York. Also, in October of 2003 she made her debut with the Fargo Moorhead Opera Company as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte. Additionally, Ms. Yoon was the cover for Maria in Gulgielmo Ratcliff with the Grattacielo Teatro at Lincoln Center in November and in March of 2004 she made her debut singing the role Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Amarillo Opera. Also she sang for the new governor ' s inauguration ceremony in St. Paul , Minnesota . But most significantly, Ms. Yoon recently returned from her Israeli debut as Blanche de la Force in Dialogue of the Carmelites, a performance in which Ms. Yoon was described by the Israeli press, HARRETS, as ¡° as exquisite, young Korean soprano who performed her role convincingly and with strong characterization. ¡±
In addition to her operatic roles, Ms. Yoon has appeared as a guest soloist for Handel ' s Messiah, Bach ' s Mass in B minor, Schubert ' s Mass in G major, and Mozart ' s Kronugsmesse with the Seoul Symphony, the Bach Festival Orchestra, the Full Gospel Orchestra, and the Symphony of Lakes.
Ms. Yoon was awarded her B.M. and M.M. degrees from Seoul National University , where she was awarded academic scholarships throughout her studies. Besides academic honors, Ms. Yoon was also a First Prize Winner of the Veronica Dunn International Singing Competition, which resulted in an opportunity to perform in Dublin , Ireland . She was also the First Prize Winner of the District Metropolitan Audition and won the Special Award of the upper Midwest Regional Auditions for the Metropolitan Opera National Council. Additionally she was the First Prize and Best Performer Award Winner of The Schubert Club Competition, and the recipient of the Best Performer Award in The International Friedrich Schorr Singing Competition. Most recently, Ms. Yoon was the Second Prize and Audience Choice Winner of the Verisimo Voice Competition in New York .

Byungwoo Kim, baritone, recently returned from the Intermezzo Opera, where he performed Count Almaviva in Le Noze di Figaro. Last year, Mr. Kim performed the role of Cat in Renard by Stravinsky at the Tanglewood Music Center . His performance at Tanglewood was broadcast live on WQXR. Other operatic performances to his credit include Marcello in La Boheme, Germont in La Traviata, Guglielmo in Cosi Fan Tutte, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Harlekin in Ariadne Auf Naxos. Oratorio performances to his credit include soloist appearances in Handel ' s Messiah, Haydn ' s Creation and Mendelssohn ' s Elijah.
Mr. Kim is a winner of numerous awards from many organizations, including the Mario Lanza Competition and the Sullivan Foundation. He was a finalist in the Metropolitan Council National Eastern Region, and was awarded the Michael Sisca Opera Award from Mannes College of Music and a Merit Scholarship from Manhattan School of Music.
Mr. Kim received a Bachelor of Music degree from Kei Myung University in his hometown of Daegu , Korea , a master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and Professional Study degree from the Mannes college of Music . He is now pursuing his DMA at the University of Hartford . His teachers have included Theodor Uppman, Ruth Falcon and Mitchell Piper. |
Meekyung Chang

Meekyung Chang received a bachelor ' s degree in piano performance from Seoul National University . She holds two master ' s degrees, one in piano solo performance from Ewha Woman ' s University in Korea , and another from The Juilliard School, where she majored in accompanying, studying with Samuel Sanders.
Ms. Chang is currently studying in the doctoral program at the Manhattan School of Music, where she is studying accompanying under Dr. Heasook Rhee.
Equally at home with vocal and instrumental repertoire, pianist Seung-Yun Lee has performed as a collaborative pianist as well as solo pianist throughout Korea and New York . Ms. Lee received her bachelor ' s degree in piano solo performance from Yonsei University and her master ' s degree in accompanying from Sungshin Women ' s University and Manhattan School of Music. While in her native country, she accompanied the Korean Glee Club in their tour of Europe and the United States.
Ms. Lee was a staff accompanist at International Institute of Vocal Arts in Italy , the International Great Mountains Music Festival, the Yewool Vocal Festival, and the Semyu Vocal Festival in Korea . Currently, Ms. Lee is in the Professional Studies Program at the Manhattan School of Music as a scholarship student of Dr. Heasook Rhee and works as a staff accompanist at the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Division.
